The Arms of Mark Wells

The division of the field, per chevron and mullet, represents a shooting star meaning the pursuit of success, accomplishment, and achievement. However, this pursuit sometimes includes the pain and suffering (shown here by the red colour) of not just others but the armiger himself as well.

But when in the battle of Ideas and Business (the lions combatant) it is important to be honourable, honest and just (as represented by the choice of charges); this is something the armiger has always upheld, sometimes to his own detriment (the darkness of the Sable). This is then the basis of the Motto which translates: Always do what is right without fear.
