Burke’s Peerage & Gentry International Register of Arms Volume 1

On Sale NOW - Volume 1 in the Armorial Shop

Last Update: 22/07/2014

u2surf.net Web Design

Heraldry is primarily about the business of identity; the armorial bearings (Coats of Arms) featured on these pages represent their owners and, although there is no secret heraldic code behind the images portrayed, many tell their own story. They all have a special place in the hearts of the armiger concerned and they are a lasting memorial to the original grantee.

All registrations now being accepted for The Armorial Register - International Register of Arms (formerly Burke’s Peerage and Gentry International Register of Arms) Online Armorial (the Register), will be included in the future publication of Volume 2.

Volume 2 of The Register will be a matching book to the recently published Volume 1 building a fully illustrated record of contemporary Coats of Arms used internationally.

At present, each Volume of the ‘Armorial Register’, along with other publications, is deposited with the British Library and other major Libraries around the globe. The website, however, which also holds and maintains the Arms, personal information and genealogies of our contributors, has not, until now, enjoyed any significantly long term or independent security.

From early 2013 The British Library UK Web Archive http://www.webarchive.org.uk will archive, approximately twice every year, The Armorial Register Website . This means that a complete record of the website and all changes to its content will be recorded. Thus building a permanent picture of the site’s development and expanding content for years to come.
